Captured on Camera! Celebs' Travel Twitpics

By Kari Friedlander

We all know Hollywood is a bit Twitter-happy. Luckily, the trend that has famous people worldwide snapping self-photos and putting them online also allows us to follow celeb globetrotters wherever they go. I’ve rounded up the cutest, most inspiring and just plain wackiest celebrity travel Twitpics. Enjoy!

For starters, the Twittersphere was certainly abuzz when Victoria Beckham (left) posted a picture on April 20th in which she appears to have briefly joined the cabin crew on a flight en route to China. The British beauty pretended to work the friendly skies and even imitated an announcement over the loudspeaker. 'Cabin crew prepare for landing! Welcome to Beijing!!' she captioned the photo.

She’s an actress, a beauty and a style icon, but Jessica Alba (right and below) is proudest of one title: mother to two girls, Honor and Haven. The proud mom tweeted, “Golden Temple #kyoto” and shared a scenic Instagram photo of her with hubby Cash Warren and their two daughters during their trip to Tokyo on April 19.

Days earlier she posted another adorable photo next to the caption, "Boat ride at Imperial Palace amongst cherry blossoms #tokyo”. It's supposedly the happiest place on earth – so it’s no wonder the famous family ended their trip with a visit to Tokyo’s Disneyland.

Perhaps Paris Hilton (left) took a less historical approach to travel (I know, not surprising!), but she appeared to be enjoying the weather Down Under when she posted "Love Bondi Beach!" on March 29 during her visit to Australia.

And while celebrities are top earners, let’s not forget they are also top philanthropists. This past summer, Kristin Davis  (forever Charlotte York Goldenblatt to me--pictured here feeding a baby elephant), gave a public shout out to the Kenya-based David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust via her Twitter account. The animal-rights activist posted a tweet during a trip to the African country on August 17, "@Genosworld Thanks, so generous! @DSWT rescues orphaned baby elephants and reintroduces them to the wild. ThaEliza Dushkunks!"

Eliza Dushku (left) also recorded (in less than 140 characters, of course!) her journey through Africa. The actress posted a gorgeous photo alongside a caption, “#Uganda Godly sunflower field on drive from GULU to Kampala~ wonderfully ridiculous! #THARCE”

So for busy celebs, Twitter may just be a one way conversation. But thanks to their travel Twitpics, they can share the world with their fans.
