We had the most amazing time on Mt Rigi today. The guide was great, making Alpine cheese was so fun and the scenery was spectacular. We all agreed the views were among the best we have seen in our lifetimes. Without the guide, our experience would be very different. We were able to navigate without stress. The day was amazing.

The trip has been spectacular — all thanks to you! Our hotel tonight…Storfjord…is a new favorite! Gorgeous hike today…our guide Dag is lovely and so easy to be with! The whole itinerary is perfect…we crammed a lot in without feeling rushed or hectic and logistics were easy! It’s been a dream…we are relaxed, invigorated by all we’ve experienced and learned and so very happy.

There’s nothing like taking a Farewell Travels trip. We’ll never forget the time we were connecting in Athens and about to get stuffed into a packed bus on the tarmac after leaving the plane. Standing to the side was a chauffeur with a sign with our names on it. We were whisked through and on our way in minutes. We try to get away with our good friends every year. Each trip has been planned by Susan and her team down to the tiniest details every step of the way.

What started as an idea in early March, magically turned into a great family vacation for us (grandparents, adult children with spouses and grandchildren) in June. Farewell Travels organized a 10-day trip for the 10 of us which included a brief but truly worthwhile stay in Athens and two Greek Islands. All details were meticulously handled including restaurant reservations throughout. We had a blast in Greece!

Jerome and I love the handholding we get from Susan Farewell and her team in Italy. We’ve gone back several times in recent years and from the moment we arrive in the airport, we are taken care of.

After experiencing a Farewell Travels trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar with my boyfriend, my cousin and I had Susan and her team plan a trip to Poland for us.  It was wonderful from beginning to end. One of the many highlights was a pierogi workshop in a private home. Visiting Marta in her home and learning the craft was outstanding. A true immersive experience.

Susan has been planning our family trips for years. She has always taken the time to sit down with us and brainstorm where we should go next. We had our own short list, but Susan’s suggestions took us well beyond that list to places we never even thought of visiting. Most recently, she planned our trip to Patagonia with another couple.  I can’t really put it into words how much we all just loved it.

Our Africa trip exceeded our expectations in every way—the quality of the guides, the properties we stayed in, all the details and the animals. You put it all together so beautifully. We’re really looking forward to this year’s trip to Argentina.
